COVID -19 has demonstrated that employers can implement changes that might have seemed impossible. With many employers integrating progressive workplace initiatives, now is the time to ensure recognition and support for carers is included in employee strategies.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic employers have been implementing different ways of working. For some this has included adopting remote and flexible working arrangements at scale, both of which can work for carers and was the subject of Briefing 1 & Briefing 2. This third and final briefing paper looks at other practices employers need to consider to make employment sustainable for carers.
